Think of this website as a shiny electronic version of the soggy paper beer menus that you often see at beer festivals!
It lists all the beers that you can try at your festival, as well as providing fancy beer maps that will hopefully help you to pick the perfect pint.
What's more, you can also tick off the beers as you try them, as well as rating them!
This website is intended to be used by you while you're enjoying a beer festival.
To make the most of it, please do the following:
- Select your beer festival from the home page.
- Browse the available beers at your chosen festival using the Beer Maps, Beers and Breweries pages.
- Want to keep track of which beers you've sampled, and how good they were? Log in or register (free!) and you can create your own beer log - just click the plus icon beside any beer on the Beer Maps or Beers page to record and rate the beer.
- To change to a different festival, click "Change Festival" above and you can then select your next beerfest.
- Most importantly: ENJOY!!
We created this as we have a passion for two things in life: beer and beer festivals! And bears, and websites.
We hope that the site will help you to enjoy the many amazing beer festivals that we have in the UK,
and with any luck it'll help you discover your next favourite beer!
The people behind this website are Hannah and Andrew. Andrew's day job involves working in statistics, through which he was asked to visualise the beers for the Shelford Feast beer festival. Realising that this idea could be vastly improved via a dedicated website, GrizzlyBeer was born! Hannah (Andrew's long-suffering better half) was then roped in to help with the more artistic aspects of the website.
There's always a caveat, isn't there?? Well, in our case we just want to state the obvious: while we've made every effort to provide a useful and informative website, please bear in mind that everything here is provided for guidance only. In other words, please don't get too upset if your pint doesn't match the exact colour that we've shown on the website, or if there are any other discrepancies. If you do spot an error then we'd be grateful if you could let us know.
Oh, and please do drink responsibly. Thanks!

For those interested in the technical side of things, we've tried to make this website as mobile-friendly as possible, using the Bootstrap framework and Chris Hammond's HammerFlex skin for DNN.
We've also taken advantage of the excellent font icons available from Glyphicons and Font Awesome. We use PipeTen web hosting, who in our experience have provided first-rate service.
If you have any questions or encounter any problems, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
